Fitbit Versa 2 Will Not Restart, Fitbit Icon Shows and Fades on and Off

As the title says, my Versa 2 was working as usual until about 4PM today at which point I noticed that the calorie count was missing the last digit.  Shortly thereafter, the screen was black and the green light had turned off.  Pressing and holding the button and placing on the charger (or combinations thereof) don't help.  It shows either a black screen, the Fitbit icon, or the Fitbit icon fading on and off.  I've had the device for about 10 months.

Call the support line.  I was offered a replacement or 50% off a new Fitbit after a 15 minute conversation where the guy had me try the same steps I already tried to fix it.  I was unable to get through on the web-based chat and they don't have email address, so this is probably the best bet.

Mine is doing this EXACT thing too! I've also had my versa 2 less than a year!

These watches are really not good quality.  After my experiences with the Charge HR, I planned to go with another brand, but alas, my mother got the Versa 2 for me as a gift. 

 

A little update.  I left my watch on the charger overnight and my alarm went off this morning on it!  When I pressed the button, it showed the Alexa screen (setup Alexa,etc.), then after holding the button, the normal screen came on, with the wrong time.  I attempted to sync it to my phone.  It would not sync.  It then shut itself off to black screen and now when I hold the button, it shows the Fitbit icon as before.  I was able to turn it back on, slow scrolling through menus, with a blue screen in between while loading.  I'll see if it will stay on long enough for a factory reset.

Mine has done the same. Around 1.30 am UK time. Looked at time got a green line! Then black screen. Put it on charge and at 7 am it shows 100% charge while on the charger but nothing else. Cannot get any screen at all. But as I type this I’ve had a notification of steps needed this hour. Why can’t I see anything????Mine is about 10 months old. Any advice anyone?
