Fitbit Versa 2 battery draining too fast

Hello, I have a Fitbit Versa 2. I purchased in Jan 2020, so it 18months old. The past week thr battery has been lasting less than 10 hours from fully charged. I am also getting the exclamation mark come up with a battery symbol. I’ve tried restarting and removed it but still no luck. But gutted to have spent so much to have a faulting product I can’t use

I have done the update - interestingly I had to search in the app store for the fitbit app to do the update as it wasnt showing in the update list.  So far so good my battery doesnt appear to be draining.

Thanks @Rubyblue12 . I have a concern as I just did a chat with Fitbit and they knew nothing about the possible fix for us.  I received the usual did you check this article to save your battery.  Floyd did state that they would work on it and I would get a response in a few hours.  I had two responses to that. Thank you and I better not receive a discount code to buy and be told this is my problem.  @DavideFitbit any update and why does the customer service team not be known of this issue and be able to inform me how to possibly fix my android?  We need answers not more questions..

Thank you for all your replies @Oliviawells834 @Rubyblue12, yes, as you mentioned earlier, the team of the developers is aware of this problem with iOS users and they're already working to find a solution as soon as possible. Make sure to keep the app updated to the latest version, as any fixes for this problem would be included with the new app update.

@SunsetRunner Thank you for the updates, the issue I mentioned earlier is for iOS users, so Android users who are experiencing a similar problem would need to contact the Support team for further assistance. If you already contacted them and you don't wish to receive a discount or replacement, I recommend that you call, chat or write an e-mail to the Customer Support team so they can let you know what are the options available for you at the moment. Have a great day.

Same issue here. Battery life is garbage for the last week or so and now the heart rate sensor doesn't work. I've done all the troubleshooting i can find. My guess is that this has something to do with the latest firmware update since my watch claims it's fully up to date.

Same.  Mine seems to have stopped draining quickly with Bluetooth on as well so hopefully the issue is fixed.

This is also affecting me too. All day sync is off, never have the ‘always on’ function on. Charged it twice today and the same yesterday. What is going on Fitbit???

I am assuming you are an IOS user?  I am an Android and have tried deleting the app and reinstalling last night to see if anything was updated. Went to bed at 95% woke up at 55%.  So nope no fix for us yet.. The funny thing is they can simply get rid of that update and have everyone roll back to the old version.  That would be the most logical fix but nope they want everyone to buy new in my opinion. Especially since when you call Customer Service they do not even acknowledge this problem you are told your watch MAY be defective here is a discount code.

This has just started happening to me with my Versa 2. I charged it, dead within 3 hours, hadn’t even looked at it. Charged it again within 20 mins was at 80%. This has gone on repeatedly for 3 days. Worked a treat before that and I’m really annoyed. There was an update recently so I guess something has stuffed up again, I’ll just sit and look at my lovely watch and hope it revives, because I’m not buying a new one if it’s going to do this.

My versa is 2 weeks old and already loosing too much battery life. I also can’t keep the Bluetooth connected it won’t stay connected to my phone so it’s many just a step counter that drains battery.

I have to refresh the Bluetooth connection everyday and often it drops out during the course of the day. This is a new issue and one I believe is tied to the recent update. Fitbit - please fix it!!

And yes - the battery drain is alarmingly fast. I don't wear this thing for fashion. I need it to work.

Thank you for sharing your experience and troubleshooting. If your Versa 2 is experiencing battery issues, let’s try some of the following steps:

  1. Check to see if you’re using high battery use features. For more information please visit Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
  2. Please follow the charging tips in this Fitbit help article Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
  3. Let’s try a restart. For more information please see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps!

I have also been unable to update also so may be on the way out for me. Won't download over internet and is not connecting to my android via Bluetooth

I am also seeing this same problem. It went from lasting days to lasting hours. A fitbit update killed my Alta and refused to do anything about it. I did try out other smart watches and eventually spent $300 on this one and what, for then to kill us off again.

Is there any sort of update/fix to this problem? My Fitbit just started doing this today also. I've had to charge it 2x already just to maintain watch use, haven't even used any apps today.

This is happening to my Versa 2 now. Been fine until a couple of weeks ago when suddenly I get a couple of days from it. Very poor.

I’m wonder if there are any other suggestions for this problem. Overnight my Fitbit Versa 2 went from lasting days to only lasting a few hours. No extreme temperatures or any changes that would’ve prompted it.
