Fitbit Versa 2 doesn't show whatsapp notifications

Hello! 

I recently purchased a fitbit versa 2 to replace my versa 1. Everything seems to work fine except I can't seem to receive whatsapp notifications anymore. I've turned it on under app notifications and tried to set it as the default messenger but that still doesn't work. I can receive text messages, phone calls and calendar notifications just fine but whatsapp notifications don't work. has anyone else run into this issue and know how to solve it? thanks in advance!

@dtnguyen try toggling all the notifications off and back on. Fitbit app may ask you to re-allow the notifications which should solve the issue. If this doesn't not help, uninstall and reinstall fitbit app.

Hey @Marrrmaduke. Thanks for replying! I guess re-installing the app should have been one of the first steps I should have taken too. toggling didn't work, but re-installing the app definitely did! I guess that is what prompted the initialization of linking the fitbit to phone permissions. Thanks a lot of the quick answer!

WhatsApp/Facebook doesn't show on my notification list. And I'm not getting any notifications for WhatsApp or email.

@Mishi604, I'm sorry for the late response. However, since your Versa 2 is not receiving WhatsApp/Facebook notifications, I would like to know what is the brand and model of your phone.

In the meantime, please try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article.

just got a brand new Fitbit versa 2, and there is no WhatsApp in the notification access, I have twice reloaded the Fitbit app with no luck any ideas please.

I tried all that you said but the WhatsApp is not even there?

I couldn't see any apps on my Versa 2 after uninstalling and reinstalling, etc.  The only thing that worked was enabling the fitbit app itself, and then all of the apps poplulated.

Hi I don’t even get the option of what’s app on my notifications. Everything is turned on on my iPhone  to allow notifications etc. and I’ve read “this help article “ which doesn’t help at all if the option isn't there in the first place. Can someone help me please
