Fitbit Versa 2 locked out and unpaired from phone

My Fitbit versa 2 kept telling me to Unlock with my phone, which I was unable to do. 

I unpaired to see if I could then pair it again, but it is now locked out.

 

I tried the steps suggested, of paint the side button for 8 seconds etc, but it doesn't work. My screen photo keeps coming up after I've held the button in as suggested. 

Is there any other way to reboot it to factory settings?

Hello @Soctty123 and welcome to the Community.  To clarify, these are the steps that I found, but I must say that I never needed to do this:

  • Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears
  • When the logo disappears, briefly release the button (less than two seconds), then press and hold until you feel a longer vibration

Thank you for your reply. These are the steps I took, but unfortunately although this reset the fitbit, I am now being met by a Red cross and a message "Data not cleared, sync and try again"

 

I just got this as a replacement a couple of weeks ago, and it started to play up yesterday by telling me to use my phone to unlock, then when I tried that it told me I had to reset the pin, then told me that didn't work, continually for hours.
