Fitbit Versa 2 steps incorrect on both watch and app

Today I noticed that my step count on both my watch AND my app are wrong. 

I estimate that I have done roughly 6k steps (this is also confirmed by my Qantas Wellbeing app which uses the data from Fitbit so makes no sense at all). 

My watch says I have done 3,287 steps and is increasing as I go about my day. The Fitbit app says I have done 8,027 however this is not increasing as the day goes on. 

I have tried resetting my watch, resetting my Fitbit app, re syncing my watch to the app, restarting my phone and still no luck. 

Any help to have this corrected would be great.
