Fitbit Versa 2 won't let me access media controls, just shows Spotify icon

Every time I go to look for my media controls, I just see the Spotify icon, and I use YouTube music, I just want to be able to skip and pause and play songs. Can I get rid of this? I have tried deleting Spotify from my device, it still just links to the install page when I click on it.

Hello @RyanMiller and welcome to the Community.  According to the Versa 2 manual, the music controls are on the device, not on the app.  Please jump to page 56 for details.

I'm sorry that I couldn't help you.  I haven't used a Versa 2 in several years and hoped that the manual would have the correct answer.  Who knew?
