Fitbit Versa 2 won't turn on or won't charge

I did not bring my charger on a vacation and when I returned my battery was dead. I have tried all the troubleshooting options and nothing works. 

I can see the fit bit icon and the homescreen with the battery showing it's charging but it is not retaining any charge.

What do I do?
