Fitbit Versa 3 consistently encounters Bluetooth reconnection errors when using Google Assistant. Countless user threads on this issue have been closed by moderators without any real solutions. The standard advice to uninstall and reinstall apps every few days is not a fix.
Since Google acquired Fitbit, the quality of the Versa watch line has significantly declined. Versa 4 does not support Google assistant and 3ed party apps are simply renowned.
It's becoming clear that this might be intentional, pushing users toward the Pixel watch line instead. At the very least, be honest about it. Consumers simply want a smartwatch that lasts a week on a charge and can handle voice assistant tasks.
Google Assistant's overall performance has also deteriorated, seemingly to drive users toward the new Gemini AI. However, Gemini cannot yet control smart home devices, and soon, it seems, neither will Google Assistant.
Google needs to get its act together, or users will turn to alternatives llike OpenAI, Alexa or Bing. Being a trillion-dollar company does not make you immune to scrutiny.
