Fitbit Versa Lite- Currently no text notifications, only social media notifications (iPhone)

Let me preface this with this is my second Fitbit Versa Lite, which Fitbit was kind enough to send me after the one that I'd had for less than 6 months crashed after one of the firmware updates in November. Of course, I had to pay to ship the watch back to them even though it was their firmware that crashed the faulty thing. I just got the replacement in about 4 hours ago after going through drama with the Fedex "SmartPost" delivery people.

However, now, I'm having problems with text notifications. I have an iPhone 7. I'm getting GroupMe, Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram notifications. I also received a call notification. However, I'm not receiving any text notifications at all. Doesn't matter if it's through regular text or iMessage.

I've tried everything all the recommended troubleshooting things. I've restarted both devices, deleted and redownloaded the Fitbit app, as well as deleted the Fitbit from the "my devices" bluetooth section and reconnected it. All settings say "show previews," "allow notifications," "share system notifications," etc.

I'm very frustrated. This feature is one of the reasons I got a Fitbit smart watch instead of another Fitbit. This watch has almost been more trouble than it's worth. Please help. Thanks.

Hi @breemarie , see the warning on top of the homepage of the Versa community when your first start it or the same warning on top of the Customer Support page. This problem is the result of the update to iOS13 and as such is the fault by Apple itself cause in this update it changed the rules regarding the handling of notifications without informing Fitbit about it. So, do not blame Fitbit this time, but Apple itself. Regards kuzibri

Hi, let me assure you that I can read and have seen that. However, it says it shouldn’t be a problem if I’ve updated to the latest iOS, which is iOS 13.3. I had done that before I even got this Fitbit in. I have read that, I’ve read other community member’s post on the topic, and I am allowed to share my experience, and hopefully my voice will add urgency on finding a solution to this matter. Thanks for your reply though.

Hi @breemarie , of course you're entitled to your own voice, but for one: usually users post on this forum te be helped and two: a bit more politeness would be appreciated for someone who takes the time to post and trying to be of help. Of course I understand your utter frustration regarding this problem and do not blame you for that. Regards kuzibri

Hi @Cinko , also some Android users are victims of this text notifications problem, mainly Samsung users (Tizen layer?). This is the result of the latest Firmware update. Fitbit is aware of the problem and working on a fix for it. Regards kuzibri

I bought a fitbit recently and have never gotten text messaging to work.  I own an iPhone 6 Plus and have tried all the steps to get text messaging to work.  I am able to receive other notifications such as calendar invites but still not able to receive text messages.  Any thoughts?
