I do not wear my Fitbit Versa to bed; therefore, I take it off and place in on my dresser at night. In the morning when I go to put it on, the display will show: 0 steps, 0 BPM, 566 Calories burned. The amount of calories burned does not make any sense and throws off my count for the entire day. The number of calories burned varies as well.
I preformed a factory reset of the watch, but it still happens. I'm not sure what else to do.
Thanks for any insights.

Hi @TR157 burned calories happen even if you're not wearing the Fitbit. The day begins at midnight and since you have set up an account and are syncing, your burned calories are being tracked. It's normal because Fitbit knows you're breathing and moving about. The number of burned calories changes, based on your activity level. On a day you're stepping more, you'll burn more. On days you're sitting more, you burn less.

"@TR15@TR157 as @Odyssey13 has pointed out, these calories are based on your bodies BMR which is what the body burns to keep it alive.
I found a series of videos that help explain this
