Fitbit Versa Screen Fading, Flickers and Battery Drains Quickly

I purchased the Versa a little over a week ago. The first few days it worked great. Battery life was just about 4 days. Then I charged it and noticed the the screen started flickering, sometimes the bottom part of the screen fades out or has streaking down the middle. If I scroll through the stats it sometimes also smears or appears images are overlaid other images. In addition my battery is draining much quicker than it did the first few days. I’ve restarted it a number of times but nothing has improved. I tried different clock faces to see if it was maybe the clock but does the same thing. Any suggestions before I return it for a new one? This is my 3rd Fitbit...had the Charge and Charge 2 previously and have been happy with both before each upgrade.

You can attempt factory reset (on your watch, go to settings, scroll down to about, then to factory reset - note it will wipe all your data from the watch so sync it first), but honestly it sounds like a hardware issue. Don't waste too much time on it. Just get a replacement.

Thanks. I tried that last night and no difference. I’ll be exchanging it for a different one this week. Hopefully the next one won’t have this issue.

I called Fitbit and they are sending me a new one. Mine was only 3 months old! Got it from my husband for Christmas.

I am having the same problem.  I am unsure of the age of my unit, I have had it for a while.  What action should I take?

My fitibit versa has the same issue. I have tried all possible options to fix it but nothing has worked so far. How did you get the issue fixed? Please suggest.

So I have had my fit bit verse for just a little over a year and the screen is fading out white and flickering so I called fit bit customer service and they determined that since it is outside of the warranty the watch that I paid full price for is just a piece of garbage. They did send me a discount offered to buy a another fit bit versa light. I am very perturbed because after a year you're telling me this watch is just a piece of garbage, not good fit bit at all. you guys need to fix the bugs in these watches they   Cost too much for people to have to be replacing the watches after a year. I have a Timex that I've had for 25 years and all I've had to do is change the battery. Now you're telling me that after one year I have to buy a whole entire watch absolutely horrible.  I am truly pissed off!!!

I had exact same experience with my versa. My warranty ended in April and in June I had a flickering screen that could not be fixed. Customer service did confirm the devise is defective and cannot be fixed but they refuged to replace as my warranty had expired.

I ended up buying new Fitbit versa paying $200. This time I bought additional 2 years warranty because I cannot afford to spend $200 every year to buy this expensive watch.

I hate to tell you there was no solution. I ended up buying a whole new fit
bit versa lite. Which I did not even like. When the fit bit verse 2 came
out, I purchased that, so now I have 2 watches. I dont even wear the the
Lite. Such a waste of money.
