Fitbit Versa - Unable to transfer music

Hey all, 

  Just got a Fitbit Versa and all is working well, barring transferring music to it. I've run through the setup and it syncs fitness data to my phone without a problem.

 

I've tried all the troubleshooting steps I've found, tried both the Microsoft Store Windows 10 version of the Fitbit PC app and the Fitbit Connect PC App, have restarted the watch a billion times, turned Bluetooth on all devices on and off for 10 seconds, restarted my phone, synced the watch...tried using the "Force Manual IP Address" setting, and nothing is working. I have one Wi-fi network available, and my phone, my Versa, and my PC are all connected to it. Firmware is up to date the Versa and the phone.

 

I go into "Manage my Music" on the PC app, and am told to hit the "Transfer Music" button on the watch. I do that, and the PC app just sits there with "Looking for your watch..." at the top of the screen. The same happens with the Microsoft Store version of the app. It just sits there for hours and never finds the watch.

 

Is there anything else I can try, please?

 

I pretty much got this model as I want to load a couple of podcasts onto it each day. If I can't get this functionality working, it'll be going back to Amazon.

Have now factory reset the Versa, uninstalled the app from the PC, rebooted my phone and PC, and started from scratch.

 

Set up the Versa and linked to the app on the phone, performed the firmware update, went through the "Quick Tips" on the Versa itself, installed the Microsoft Store-version of the app on PC. Versa is connected to the PC via Bluetooth and I can sync it from the app on the PC.

 

Go to Media > Personal Music and I get the prompt saying to set the Versa into transfer mode. I do that, and nothing happens. "Looking for your watch..." is all I get.

 

Three hours wasted so far. What a great lifestyle tool this is.

Seeing as the only other option Fitbit provides is Deezer, I signed up for Deezer Premium as they have the podcasts I want to put onto my Versa.

 

Only...Deezer doesn't let you add podcast episodes to playlists, and Fitbit only syncs playlists. So that doesn't work either.

 

How is this all so terribly broken?
