Hey! Looking to upgrade my charge hr to the new Fitbit Versa, and although it claims to be waterproof down to 50 meters, I have seen other people talking about how swimming killed their Versa, and I’m wondering if I should be worried or not about that. I want to know this because I will be upgrading in the near future. I have had the same exact charge hr for 2 + years now and the band is starting to break. If my new Versa gets killed by water, will i get a free replacement? I don’t really feel like spending money for a 2 year protection thing so i just want to know. Thanks!

I am a competitive masters swimmer. I have been wearing mine every day in the pool with no problems. Even swam and free dived to about 15 feet with it last week in the Ocean in Hawaii. I also wear during my showers. It's fine.

Awesome! Sounds like only a few people have the problem then. I’ll just keep this up though because I still need an answer as to whether my versa will get fixed if it somehow gets water damaged.

Yes, I had this happen 3 days after I bought it. The shipping process has been aggravating but I am getting a replacement.
