Okay, so this is more a rant than anything else because I've given up on Fitbit.
I've purchased a Fitbit Versa a year ago and that one had issues.
Intermittently it wouldn't sync. It allowed me to purchase a clock face when I first got it and it allowed me to set-up my wallet, then it wouldn't a day after and never did since. I never did bother trying to fix the issue, but a year after the Fitbit Versa failed and just started showing a black screen, so I contacted support and followed their instructions to no avail.
Eventually they decided to send me a replacement and I was initially happy because they were gonna replace it with a Fitbit Versa 2 which is an upgrade.
I've just received my replacement yesterday and already I have the same issues with it. Everything worked for the first hour when I set it up, and today when I tried editing some settings the WiFi would connect for 10 seconds and disconnect. I can't access my Wallet and add or edit my existing cards because I can't get past the multitude of errors that pop up. I can't change my clock face, etc., etc.
I've done everything from restarting the device, to restarting my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 10+), to turning my Bluetooth on and off and removing all the other devices paired then re-pairing just the Versa 2, to uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, clearing the cache, to removing the Versa and re-adding it to the app. I've even thought it was my DNS and VPN so I switched those off too. Didn't work. Restarted the modem. Updated the software. Tried it with another phone too and that doesn't do anything.
None of these work, and I suspect that it's Fitbit's potato/spaghetti coding.
I've resigned myself to just using the tracker because those thankfully work, but I'd bet money they'll stop working eventually like with my other one after a year.
