Fitbit Versa apps not working and battery drains fast

When I press activity and a couple of other apps on my screen they don’t open or work. I have tried resetting and letting it go flat for 24 hours but nothing has worked. Also battery runs out very quickly. Has anyone got any ideas?

Hi @JuliaF31, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.

 

I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa since the screen doesn't work properly when you open some apps and the battery drains fast. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

 

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

 

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds. 
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive). 
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons. 
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. After this, set up your watch from scratch
  6. Finally, try the tips listed in this help article in order to improve the battery life of your watch and see if the issues get fixed.
