Fitbit Versa buttons and screen not working

I noticed yesterday my back button on my versa has stopped working. Then today the screen seems to be going funny. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what can I do to fix it.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the issue you're experiencing with your Versa screen and back button. Thanks for trying to resolve this and I am here to help. I recommend doing the following:

 

  1. Switch to a Fitbit clock face if you're using a third party clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device? 
  2. Try to restart your device by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

On 415/2020 my fitbit versa 2 was working fine and all of a sudden the screen went crazy and was pixelated and now it will light up when I turn it toward me to check time but then fades out and turns grey !! I called fitbit and was told that because my watch was 4 months over the 1 year warranty all they could do was offer me a coupon to purchase a new watch and so I asked for a supervisor hoping they would try to help me! It's a 300 dollar watch that only lasts for 16 months !!!!  Have tried everything I've read to make it work again. Waiting on a supervisor to email. Hopefully they will help! Very disappointed in fitbit at the moment !

Hi there 

 

I let my device’s battery go flat in the hopes to restart it. And now I can’t get it to turn on at all. I don’t understand why this has happened all of a sudden.

My versa 2 screen is not working either.  I am able to see the clock screen but not able to swipe anywhere else.  I cannot get to settings to reset it.  I have tried turning it off and back on several times.  I just purchased it in December.  Please help.  Thank you

Hi there. I experienced the same problem earlier this month. My Versa won't turn on anymore after the initial screen malfunctions. Purchased 15 months ago. I spoke with customer service and they advised there is nothing that can be done, and offered 25% off a new device since it's 3 months outside of the warranty period. I'm disappointed. Hope you have better luck.

I woke up this morning and my watch was working fine and then all of a sudden the screen went white and now it's gray with a white line at the top.  It vibrates but I cannot see anything.  I've tried changing the clock face and that did not work.  I restarted it several times with no changes.  Then I restored it to the factory settings and deleted it off my app.  Now I cannot connect to it because I can't see the four digits.  So frustrating!

Thank you for your response! I am really disappointed that my watch broke already and of course I miss it ALOT ! I really hope that fitbit will make it right...16 months just seems a short amount of time for a 300 dollar watch! And a coupon to purchase another fitbit product doesn't cut it for me because I would be afraid to buy another one. Hopefully they will contact me soon ! Thank you

I think that's ridiculous that they would offer either one of us a coupon ! I could understand if it were 2 years down the road ..although I think they should last at least a few years for the price. I will definitely not ever purchase Fitbit products again if they dont do something more than a 25% off coupon. Sorry to hear that you and so many others are having issues with your watch !

My watch went crazy on 4/15/2020..hopefully you have some warranty left on your watch !

I actually contacted support through chat today. It is under warranty thankfully. They said they would be emailing me instructions for replacement. I haven’t received the email as of yet. Hoping it arrives soon.

That's great ! I wish I could say the same ! My watch is 4 months out of warranty ! So far nothing from fitbit but an offer for a coupon and my watch cost 300 dollars!

Well after speaking to a supervisor they still offer nothing more than a coupon so I most certainly will not be using that because I will never buy fitbit again. I know that fitbit could offer me a replacement watch but they wont ! Very sad !!!!

Yes I must say, I am very disappointed to hear that so many people are having a similar problem to me, and just after the warranty ends.. 

I really loved my Fitbit and am very disappointed and now nervous to get another one if they just stop working 4 months after the warranty ends. I really thought Fitbit would be more reliable. 
still haven’t received any communication from Fitbit about my query.
