Fitbit Versa cannot be unlocked or added to an account

So when putting a new watch band onto my mother's versa we've hit the pin limit accidentally, then the watch has locked and wants to use the phone to unlock, however the phone kept erroring out on pin entry and change both for the lock and the wallet, I assume due to the wallet having a card registered to it; however she couldn't remove the card and then has removed the device to try and re-add it.

The issue now is that the device is still locked by phone with no phone attached, when you try and re-add the device you get the "unlock with your phone" message when the pin should show up so it can't be added. I haven't found a factory reset for the versa that actually works (three button combos only seem to soft reset), so I haven't been able to do that.

I'm sure it's probably tied to the wallet, but I can't re-add the watch to an account to delete the data and can't seem to find a factory reset that works on a versa to manually remove the data.

Are there any options here?

@FrangipaniBliss did you delete the watch from fitbit mobile app or only from Bluetooth settings on your phone?

It was deleted from the mobile app, not the phone's bluetooth settings

@FrangipaniBliss At this point there's only one thing you can do (beside reaching out to Custom er Support) - attemp 3-button factory reset:

  1. Press and hold all 3 buttons until Fitbit logo flashes (this usually takes around 15 seconds but may take up to 3 minutes)
  2. Release the bottom right button
  3. Wait until you feel strong vibration and release the other buttons.

You may need to attempt the reset a few times to find the optimal times. Trying holding the buttons longer, as long as it's needed for the vibration to appear.

If you're successful with factory reset, please remember to remove Versa from your Fitbit account (in your Fitbit mobile app) and Paired Devices list in your phone Bluetooth settings as you will have to set it up again (add as a new device).
