Fitbit Versa connects fine, but now phone won't connect to car

Hello everyone,

I recently got a Fitbit Versa for my birthday. Yay. I know, it's beautiful and works great on its own. My only issue is that now that I have my Versa connected to my phone I cannot connect my phone to my car bluetooth anymore. I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Has anyone else come across this issue? If so, please help!

I don't need to use the Versa for media or phone connectivity. I just want it for the steps and Fitbit community. I have searched all through the settings and cannot figure it out.

Thanks in advance!

I came across this problem as well! I changed the pairing code for my cars Bluetooth and that fixed the problem for me!

When you say the phone won't connect to the car @VegasDesi what type of connection are we reffering to?

Are you simply wanting to play the music from the phone through the cars radio?

Or do you want to connect the phone to the car radio, so that it can display the phones screen on the radio.

I'm not sure what else in the car car you

Hi @Rich_Laue,

I use my car for a bluetooth so I can use the phone when I am driving. I do not need to use the media on the car or on the Versa. But ever since I got the Versa, it will not work. I think it seems silly if I have to turn off the watch every time I drive and turn it on again when I turn off the car. There must be a setting somewhere where I do not see it to fix it. I appreciate your help.

Thank you!

You say that you use it for Bluetooth, but what is it that the phone is sending throw the bluetooth?

On my car radio, I can see my phones screen remotely, and connect the radio as an external speaker. Neither requires me to turn the Bluetooth off on the tracker.

I'm simply trying to figure out what is it that you want to accomplish by connecting the phone to the radio, since I'm unaware of any reason why the versa would prevent this. Unless the Versa also connects to the radio so you can play your watch through the radio.

Hi @Rich_Laue. I use it for the phone. I call my mom, husband, etc. I do not use it for pictures or phone screen or media. I dont understand why it won't let me use the phone. I did not have issues when I had my Gear Fit. Now with a Fitbit I am having trouble.

Ok the car radio is connected to the phone as a Bluetooth speaker. Is your Versa Classic connected to the phone, this will only be needed if the desire to control music on the phone.

I have tried several work arounds but only temporarily reconnects with my car bluetooth which I need for entertainment and safety during my long commutes. I am very close to returning my versa.
