What I am seeing is my Versa recording arm movements in the daily step count. This is inflating my daily step total. How do I stop recording normal day to day arm movements (when not mobile) as steps?

You cant. Generally the number of extra steps counted it not of huge significance and as some steps are missed when you dont move your arm (eg carrying something, pushing a trolly etc) it comes out pretty even. If there is a particular activity where the count is in the thousands you could remove the tracker while you do it (known culprets are knitting, horseback riding, playingbthe piano or the guitar etc)

All fitbits will do this. And a few wont count steps if you're pushing something although I had ealier generation ones still count even if your arm is static

I have a simiar problem. But mine is driving. I'm behind the wheel sometimes for a few hours a day, and today, my first day wearing a Versa, I already have 12000 steps! Trust me -- that was all driving. In fact, I could watch the steps click by as my hand rested on the steering wheel. How do I make it not add driving to my step count?? Thanks for any help!
