Fitbit Versa died today and won't restart

It died at about 10am today, it said it was about 65% charged when I left for work at 6am.  It won't respond to any button pressing, even after >3hours of being on the charger.  It's a little bit more than 2 weeks old.  Given the amount of others that have had dead versa's, I'm starting to think that this is just a bad product.

Have you done a hard reset by pressing all 3 buttons at the same time?

one cruise ship at a time!

Yes.
After the recharge and after attempting the 2 button restart. It just
stayed blank, not even a screen flicker.

@TT9 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry to hear that your Versa isn't working and thank you for responding to @DramaQueenDiva's question as this helps a lot. Try cleaning the contacts including using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this restart your device and see how it behaves.

Let me know how it goes!

Sorry, that didn't work either. After cleaning i still get the same
pattern.
I get a black screen for a while, then it gives off some light from the
main screen after putting it on the charger. I left it on the charger for
>3hrs. Then then I perform the reset, the screen goes back to black.
