Fitbit Versa doesn't track sleep STILL!

After about 100 conversations with Fitbit and seeing lots of complaints on here, my Versa is still not tracking sleep and adding imaginary steps ! At what point does Fitbit hold their hands up and say, 'we made a mistake ' and recalls the product since it's being missold as a working item and so far I've seen very few people it works with. 

After having a charge, blaze and now versa, this has to be worst one yet! Their customer service goes around in circles and I've literally tried every possible bit of troubleshooting... Installed and uninstalled multiple times, factory reset and all sorts and still not working. Fitbits advise was to 'manually track it's FFS if I knew what time I went to sleep and when I'm in rem or deep sleep I probably wouldn't need any technology again! 

Here's like my 100 post / comment on this forum and yet Fitbit is yet to reply on here..

Please read the post I just uploaded below.  maybe it will help:

 

Something VERY interesting and potentially diagnostic just happened when I changed my Versa's clock face.  I changed it from Layers to Backdated last night, both official Fitbit clock faces, because Backdated does not have much light on the screen when it inadvertently turns on.  As I kind of expected, I got sleep stats that were accurate in hours but simplified.  So later today, I turned the clock face back to Layers.  As I observed the app (iOS) syncing, I was surprised (shocked?  gobsmacked?) to see that the sleep stats turned into detailed ones.   

 

So, the Versa collected detailed sleep stats all along, but did not display them until I chose the Layers clock face.  I will leave this to wiser heads than mine to figure out what this means.

Basic (disintegrated), Ultra, One, Surge (returned), Flex, Charge, Alta, Charge 2, iPhone 7 Plus, Macbook Pro, iPad Pro.

M currently using layers as someone else mentioned this and it's still not recording any sleep at all

Ok so managed to get sleep tracking and in-depth stats for three nights. To do it I have to take my Versa off and put it on my other wrist facing inwards! A little annoying.

Just a guess - is your age, sex, weight and height profile correct. This might have an impact. Let me know if that helps.

Hey folks

 

something weird happened to me in last two days

 

3 days ago.. the App kept crashing and i could barely sync.. somewhere it says to uninstall and re-installed... so i got tired of it and i have uninstalled it and re-installed

 

since then.. my sleep as been working properly.. two nights in a row for the first time since i got that versa.. 

 

If someone else can try.. maybe we can confirm or maybe it was just a fluke..
