Fitbit Versa fails often and the company does not stand behind their product.

Good morning,

About a year ago I purchased two fitbit versas through a deal with my wife's company. One for me and one for her. The versa I received was non-functional (#25292262). After significant effort over several weeks I was finally able to get a replacement Versa. This Versa worked ok for about 7 months until it too, became non-functional (just went off) (#29625910). After another lengthy process I received a replacement Versa that worked ok for about 4 months and then the heart-rate sensor just decided to stop blinking (working). Even though the Versa was only 4 months old it was no longer covered under warranty, despite the warranty page stating that it was under a 1 year warranty (#31753224). When I pressed support to show me the literature supporting their claim that it was not covered under the warranty I was sent a dead link.

I would not recommend a Fitbit for anybody based on the fact that they do not stand behind their frequently faulty product. I will be searching for a new brand of watch.

@Xainers It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Sorry to hear that you device isn't covered by the warranty anymore. The warranty doesn't get renewed when you get a replacement device. It will start from the date you purchased the original device and Support does follow the guidelines listed in the warranty so if your device is outside the warranty period they won't be able to replace it. Still thank you for sharing your feedback.

Let me know how it goes.

Well they agreed to send me a replacement outside the warranty period.
Which I assume means that the warranty has now renewed for another year.

I'll let you know how it goes,

@Xainers great to hear that you got a replacement. Support does make exception from time to time but this doesn't mean your warranty is renewed. Feel free to check this with Support via email.

I'll be around.

@Xainers  The warranty does not renew. It goes by your first tracker not a replacement

Fair enough, we'll talk again when the device fails in 4 months.

Thanks,

I'll make a deal with yah. If the new device lasts one year I will get back
on here and post a glowing review.

The only abuse the device receives is sweat.

Thanks,
