Fitbit Versa is not water resistant

I’ve had my Fitbit Versa a little over a year now and have never had any issues. I decided the other day to use it while swimming for the first time. After that is started acting up and died quickly. Then it stopped tracking my heart rate and steps. When I was looking at it trying to solve the issue (multiple restarts) I noticed condensation in all of the sensors on the underside. Then also it wouldn’t keep charge anymore and died within less than 24 hours. But now 48 hours later the screen completely died and when I try to reset it I can feel it vibrating sometimes but the screen is completely black. I read I only have one year warranty but it’s not fair that it broke because I went swimming with it. I thought it is supposed to be water proof!

I too had the same problem with my Versa.  Mine was only a few months old when it died while I went swimming.  Best to contact support to see if you could potentially get a replacement.
