Fitbit Versa is unresponsive spinning on screens

My Fitbit Versa started playing up yesterday spinning between the shortcuts menu and recent text messages. Buttons have become unresponsive. I tried restarting by following the guidance from the threads and it is still stuck. I have placed in the charger to see if that works. it charges and still wont stop spinning between screens. It will sync with my iPhone still. The band ripped the day before and I replaced with a new one though I wouldn't say this was easy either. All very annoying!
