Fitbit Versa issues with music downloads...Fitbit Connect crashes

Having a problem syncing iTunes playlist, using the PC based Fitbit Connect app (build 2.0.2.7038). When I attempt to use the Fitbit Connect/Manage My Music app, it begins the playlist search process, identifies only one of the several playlist I have set up, then after a new more seconds of searching, crashes. When I re-open the Fitbit Connect app and try again, I get a message saying that the last time I used the app, it closed unexpectedly, and ask if I would like to report the issue...

If I stop the Fitbit Connect playlist search in process (quickly), the app does not crash, and I am able to download music files from that one playlist Fitbit Connect identified, to my new versa successfully. However, if I let the Connect app continue its search for additional iTunes playlist, it will ALWAYS crash after 10 to 20 seconds of searching.

- I have attempted the following fixes, with no joy: uninstalled and then reinstalled the Fitbit Connect app, confirmed that the app is latest issue, rebooted PC, restarted Versa, confirmed that Fitbit Connect app sees my Versa watch, that WiFi signal is strong/unbroken, and that files can be downloaded from iTunes playlist to the Versa via WiFi using the Connect app.

- There is only one thread on the Iconic sub-forum relating to a similar Fitbit Connect app crashing issue, from last February, which as far as I can tell, was never resolved.

- Just had a long chat with Fitbit support...case opened, but no joy. Fitbit agent speculated that it's a Fitbit Connect software bug, and not an issue with the Versa watch itself.

- Anyone else having similar issues with Fitbit Connect crashing during music playlist search/processing?

The only reason I upgraded from the tried and true Charge 2 was for the Versa's music feature...which has been a big bust so far.

I switched from the charge hr. I had to keep glueing mine back together. I thought this would be perfect with the music and swimming. WRONG. My Fitbit looks like it connects. It finds the playlist. It gets to estimating how long to download and sits there for nearly two hours!!!! Turned it off and back on. Nope. It just is refusing to put music on this versa. Did you ever get it to work?

Sorry, can't help you with that. There has been no progress (or Fitbit follow-up) that I'm aware of toward resolving my open case mentioned in the original post from this thread.

The impression I have with the Versa music "feature" is that it was rushed to market, and not fully baked. The whole process of downloading music to the watch seems bug ridden, unnecessarily complex and not at all user friendly. I can only hope that Fitbit is hard at work cleaning up this mess.

Good to know. Thanks. Glad I’m not alone. It’s annoying as all get up. Good to get as many opinions out there as we can. Thanks.
