I have had my Fitbit for 14 months, I have worn it swimming, in the shower, ect. And never had a problem. I had it on last Friday while we were building fence and it was very humid out, I thought my battery died while we were working, which wouldn’t be uncommon, we got in the pool for less than 10 minutes after and I put my watch on the charger. The next day it wouldn’t turn on and after looking there was moisture in the sensor lights on the bottom and a little spot on the screen, the screen will light up and that’s it. I put it in rice for 2 days, still nothing. Of course this happens 2 months after my warranty expired..

Best to let it dry on its left side for a week - do not charge it or have it on.
It may recover when its dried out but may not be very reliable.
They don't like hot water or detergents.
