Fitbit Versa not syncing with my phone

So I have a fitbit versa, which is connected to a huawei nova 5t phone but the fitbit doesn't receive notifications from my phone and the last time it properly sync data was on Sunday 17 May 2020, I have tried the obvious, resetting device back to factory (Fitbit) deleting app and device from app but no joy, its a new phone and updated to the latest firmware and so is the versa on the update firmware, this has been happening now for quite some time and I have no idea now on what to do, any help would be much appreciated? The only thing I can think of is scrap my fitbit and buy another device from a different brand.
