Fitbit Versa not syncing without a lot of work...multiple times a day

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Several times a day I have to do the workaround of restarting my phone, turning on/off my bluetooth, then trying to sync my Versa...I'm really getting tired of this, especially after the Firmware update of a couple of days ago (which I thought may solve the problem...NOT).  I'm on my second Versa (replacement...1st one died on me) and have just about lost my patience for something so expensive that doesn't work like it should.

Signed,

Tired

I'm in the same boat as you... First Versa died and this second one is having connection issues.

I am using an Android (Samsung Galaxy S7) but that shouldn't matter:  My replacement Versa was syncing properly, hasn't been for several days....the Firmware update from yesterday seems have made the situation even worse.  I can't even get the workaround to work any longer. I owe it to myself to explore other options/suppliers...sad for an expensive device that has already been replaced once.

I haven’t been able to sync my Versace since Wednesday morning, I have an I phone 7. Any ideas?

I, too, am deadly tired of this.  No syncing, no texts, not even email now, Versa is just an expensive timepiece/pedometer.  I am an expert by now at the many steps you have to take daily just to get it sync, and now I can't even get it to do that.

I am with you on this. I drive my car maybe once every second week. When I get in, my phone connects to the car and I can make calls. Once a year I connect my intercom system of my helmet and it connects to my phone. My camera connects with no issues. My drone instantly picks up my phone. On the other end of the spectrum is my Versa. I just sneeze and it loses connection with my phone. Then you have to restart your phone, the watch, the toaster, the TV and the neighbors alarm system. But you have to to it in the correct sequence while standing on one leg in a bath half full of lukewarm water.

Why can Fitbit not get this ONE crucial item right. I do NOT want to restart my phone twice a day. I do not want to go through a ritual of "restart this, go out here, log off, log on.... ". Just connect already. Every single electronic device I own connects to my phone seamlessly, but NOT my Versa.

If your Fitbit is 1-2 years old then it is on its way out. I am on my 4 th or 5th one ( maybe last one). The best the company does is offer $40 off a new one.

The latest update has made me not get my text notifications. I've followed all instructions, restarted the fitbit and my phone, but continue getting a message in the app "notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker". I verified my S8
phone, app & fitbit are up to date. I'm beyond frustrated. I have a sick family member and have relied on this manner of receiving updates when I'm at work & unable to use my phone.
