well fitbit is probably just troubleshooting with you until they have no choice but to send you a new one.
My warranty was up i am super pissed. id rather go with a garmin but i cant afford one so for those of you having trouble i like to let you know you can get just the tracker cheaper on ebay for under $100 . I just ordered one.

i agree the GPS sucks big time and obviously not waterproof also everyday after my runs for a year in the morning it was going backwards minusing 300 calories from my budget after it would sync.
i contacted fitbit about that one and they tried making up a bunch of excuses that never made sense until they finally admitted it was a ongoing issue that they dont know if they will ever be able to solve. i read the garmins are good for runners, their just a little more expensive.

I've had my Versa since last Mother's Day - a gift from my husband. I've worn if while washing dishes and swimming multiple times and never had any issues. Yesterday I wore it in the pool and 30 min later it's completely black & dead. There is condensation in the sensors on the back. Because it's no longer under warranty, Fitbit offered me a 25% discount to buy a new one. 😐 Gee, thanks! So now, we'll have spent $400 on it in just over 1 year.

I had my $208 Versa Special Edition 3 weeks, first time from diving board to the steps and the water fried it. Fitbit sent me a factory refurbished one (totally bs considering mine was barely 3 weeks old) and I've been too scared to even try it again. Their products are garbage in the water aspect... I will eventually try with this one, if it fries again, it will be the LAST fitbit product I purchase. I hear others who have great luck w/ water, but not me. I think the most irritating and frustrating part of all of it, is it has a SWIM TRACKER APP on it. Their waterproof design clearly needs more work, and their customer serives reps, need more than a script to read from when someone calls upset b/c their $208 brand new watch fries the first time in water.

Less than 3 weeks w/ my special edition. First time in the pool and it fried my screen. I haven't chanced it w/ my "refurbished" replacement they sent. Will eventually try, if this one fries, I'll be switching to Samsung. Will be better with my S10 anyhow. They can't back or stand behind their "waterproof" advertisement at all.

When I asked why is the device advertised as waterproof when it dies at the first sight of water? Their reply:
Regarding your question, we must inform that although the Versa is designed to be waterproof and quality monitor process is applied to its manufacture, some of the Versa have been affected after swimming, we're providing feedback about this issue to our development team in order to evaluate a solution.

BREAKING NEWS! I WON! Just received this email and order has been placed:
"Please note that the 50% discount offer is the maximum rate we're able to provide, however, taking into account the preference for Fitbit products since 2014, and that many good experiences could have been shared, we want you to stay with the Fitbit family.
We were able to make a one time exception to our policy and sent a separate email to your wife's email address with a form you can fill out to receive your replacement options. If you did not receive this email, be sure to check your spam and junk folders."

Exactly what they did to me and I wanted to go through the phone and strangle someone. This followed by “is the green light on I’m back of the Fitbit”?

I am beyond pissed with Fitbit right now. My versa stopped working after a shower and I got a replacement and now the replacement has stopped working while swimming and they refuse to replace it because it’s now out of warranty. I think this is BS when the product itself is faulty and it hasn’t been a year since I got the replacement but the warranty follows the original date of purchase for the original Fitbit.

Both times, fitbit failed after a few swim sessions. I bought Versa for swimming. Not at all happy 😞

I just purchased the Fitbit Versa Lite earlier this week and took it into the pool with my children on Saturday morning. It was acting kind of funny in the water when I just dunked my arm a couple of times. Then when I got out of the pool, it reset itself. I chose not to chance it, took it off and dried it off. I continued swimming in the water without it. I have not tried showering with the device on because I'm not used to showering with them on anyway. TBH, I would not recommend wearing the devices in large bodies of water for any amount of time.

The versas are not water tight. They do not even list the water tight rating like other brands. Do not put them in the water.

Mine died after jumping in the pool. It's supposed to track swimming. Fitbit customer lack of service said it's water resistant not water proof. They offered me 20% off a new one. Can you believe it? I will never buy this product again. It's garbage.
