Fitbit Versa recording same steps 2 days in a row (twice)

Last Saturday I did 16949 steps as I was walking dogs 

Sunday I did around 3000 as I was at home. But when I synced Sunday also recorded 16949.

Same thing happened Wednesday 18492 steps and Thursday at home not many steps but it's showing 18492.

I've cleared the cache on the android app, switched the versa on and off and resynced but app is still not recording the right steps?

I have had the same problem but seems to have sorted itself now
