I purchased a Fitbit Versa in May 2018 and the glass screen comes off in 7 months. When I contacted Fitbit Support, I was provided with the 1st replacement. Then the new watch had the same issue in 3 months. I was again provided with a 2nd replacement. Now in another 5 months, the glass screen has come off again.
This time when I contacted Fitbit Support, they have said that this is not covered under warranty since they calculate it based on the original purchase date and not based on when the latest device was shipped. That's very convenient for Fitbit, because I spent a lot of money on this watch and its now useless to me now because there is no attention to the quality of the watches.
I was hoping that this 3rd replacement would have had this issue fixed. But looks like this was never done. I am a gentle user of this watch and don't even use it in the water. This happens with normal day-to-day usage.
It seems strange that Fitbit will not accept responsibility for this problem. Having known of this problem from several users, which seems to be commonly reported, Fitbit had done nothing to fix this. Either Fitbit designs the watches poorly or the glue is of sub-par quality or workmanship is poot. Why would Fitbit continue to sell the watch with prevalent quality issues like this without fixing them for years is beyond me.
Now I am unable to find any service provider to fix this problem. With Fitbit not providing any solution, I am trying to see if any other users of this watch have any solutions to fix this. At least till I get over my mistake of buying a Fitbit watch, I would like to see if there is any way I can keep using it for a few months with any home fixes.

@HariSV, I'm sorry for the late response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit forums.
I'm sorry to hear that your Versa's screen came off. I'm also sorry to hear that it's no longer under warranty. The warranty period is good for 365 days, starting from the date of first setup. I totally understand how you feel about this.
We really appreciate your feedback and comments since this helps us to keep improving.
I'll be around if any question arises.

Does it really do any good to contact Customer Service for a replacement if it's a known problem. I've received 3 trackers over 4 years as Christmas gifts because they don't last. My 1st was a Charge. The back part where you plug it in to charge it completely came off after just a few months. I superglued it and that helped for a little while. My 2nd was a Charge 2 and shortly after receiving it, the bands refused to stay on. Superglue allowed me to stretch that one out for 2 years. I just received a Versa for Christmas (12/19) and yesterday (less than 4 months) the face broke away. Again I reached for the Superglue (I keep a tube handy just for my Fitbits!) and it seems to be holding. None of the functions have been affected. It seems to be a common problem and has me wondering if I really want to stay with Fitbit.

Hi surely the warranty becomes mute as the company is responsible under consumers rights act for selling an item fit for purpose. Surely if it’s a common problem the burden of proof on the users part is fulfilled.

Useless and Insensitive is Fitbit customer service towards this specific individual including myself! I had the same issue, & Fitbit customer service did nothing except use their empower-less moderators to provide no permanent solution!
GOOGLE, please clean house now that you own this company!

The same happened to me but only after one year, i rarely used the fitbit, they told me to buy new one, and no after sale service support that attend to my problem. I just spent on expensive item only to find out i get to use it few times and the screen vanish, no after sale service support, voila have to buy new one. So devastated.
