Fitbit Versa water damage

So I have had my Fitbit Versa since June 2018 and I've done absolutely everything with it from showering  to swimming in the ocean. Everything was fine until yesterday. I went swimming and it seemed the battery died during my swim, which is normal since I forget to charge it at times, I dried it off and plugged it in to charge, it wouldn't turn on for a few hours. After a few hours it turned on but would only stay on while plugged into its charging point. If I took it out of the charger,  the fitbit logo appears and I can't do anything with it .Also the battery is jumping from 99% to 26% and back. What should I do?

I haven't had issues with the replacement, but I haven't really gotten it
wet. (Meaning completely soaked or had under water.) The most it has gotten
wet is from washing my hands. I have used a baby wipe to clean it.

If you can, get rid of it. I got a replacement but the screen just fell off the second one too so I’m guessing the screen is a fault. I now have yet another replacement but they had no more left so got the versa 2 not so confident it will be better. It’s a gimmick. The Alexa thing doesn’t work unless you are at home or on your phone so I don’t use it. I tried but it took longer than just pressing the screen. I’ve got sick of stuffing around with the watch using up my workout time which is limited with a child.

They will if under warranty. I’ve had mine replaced twice for same reason now. I’d suggest getting a different watch

They offer me 25% too. But I reply that it's not enough! Paid 250$ for a waterproof trackers that failed after more than 1 year. It's a joke. Wait for an answer from them

I tried to had 40% off, like others... Unfortunatly, they don't want. They offers me 40% on a Versa Lite or 25% on other product.

Seriously... I bought a Versa BECAUSE it's waterproof and I don't wanted to removed my watch everytime I go to shower or pool. And... a little bit more than 2 years later, I had water inside and nothing works...fitbit_humidité.jpg

Same thing just happened to mine. I actually rarely wear it in water, but I just had it in the pool for about 20 min and it died. Mine is also about 14 months old. Not sure I’m going to get another

Happened to mine as well. They gave me the 25% coupon for a new one which I
got in March. If it happens again that will be the last Fitbit I get!! I
hope someone from Fitbit monitors this!

How did you go about contacting Fitbit and letting them know of your issue because I had mine on swimming yesterday and mine acted like the battery died which surprised me but I thought maybe I had let it get low because I was so busy all day and it won't turn back on and I've tried the advice on turning it off and back on (like a reset) and it won't do anything. I left it in rice overnight and then plugged it onto the charging port today and it still won't do anything. Just a black screen.  😞

Fitbit versa is rubbish! The face is faulty. Mine was replaced 2 times and now I have a versa 2 so far so good

What do you mean that the face is faulty? I was shocked because honestly I
had not had ANY issues with it at all until now, but this definitely sucks
since you are supposed to be able to swim with them (scuba dive up to 160
feet) according to fitbit and I swam in my pool with it and now it doesn't
work... how do you like the versa 2 in comparison to the versa other than
regarding the screen issues you had?

Yep and what you’re explaining happened to me 2 times. The face isn’t pressure tested properly and water gets in. Mine took almost a year before I went for a swim and it was full of water! The second one lasted even less time and the face fell off while I was walking! I’d email them ASAP and explain. They will be very quick to respond and replace. We’re with me.

I went swimming yesterday and it won't turn on today. I contacted Fitbit through chat and we troubleshooter but nothing helped. Unfortunately for me my warranty expired in the beginning of May. They did offer me 25% off a new tracker. If I do get a new one I will not be swimming in it again. Unfortunately this is why I purchased it. I like that it could get wet. I might look into a different brand.

Here's why I had water inside.

Only with à guitar pick, I was able to seperate the screen from the case easily!! The glue was not strong enough! Seriously??

This just happened to me.  I’ve had Fitbit’s from the beginning. They offered me 25% discount but I purchased a new one during the summer sale so it was 100 instead of 150....so I can’t use the discount.  So your device didn’t work as you advertised yet I had to pay the same as anyone else to replace it....I will be looking for a new brand.  Then when I told them that they thanked me for letting them assist me.  What a joke.
