Fitbit Versa will not turn on

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit Versa was working and it just randomly turned off and will not turn back on. I have the Fitbit charging but there is no sign of it turning back on. Anyone know what is going on? This is a little frustrating since I have had it for a week.

I received the Versa a year ago for Mother's Day.

I have had to have it replaced twice!

Currently, it is NOT updating any of my tracking info to the app.

Good luck to you.

Hello it’s been a few days and my Fitbit verse will not turn on. All these forums keep talking about a bottom button to press on the back but I do not see any button on the back side that I can press. I’ve tried going to my Fitbit app to try to update my Fitbit but that doesn’t work either. Please help!

Hi. Still it does not open. When I charge it too, it just heats up. The customer service gave me a link to a sase but I missed the window so am asking for it again. I have living without it and not being able to monitor my ptriathlon progression.

Hi,

My Fitbit Versi also will not turn on. I have tried restarting it as per your instructions but nothing happened. I also checked my clock face but I am using a FitBit one. The device is not out of battery as far as I can tell, but my phone can’t “find” it to sync. I have it sitting in the charging cradle but it’s not doing anything.

This is Dann Cucuta again with a new update. I will now be having my FOURTH replacement Fitbit Versa sent to me. My third one just went on the fritz as well. This time it just started vibrating on my wrist nonstop out of nowhere and would not quit. This happened right as I was about to leave the locker room to begin my workout. Now this will be the third time this has happened in six months and I've gotta say this can't be coincidence. I'm very careful with it to make sure I don't damage it and don't even get it wet, even though I'm supposed to be able to swim with it. Of course the support rep says there is no known issue with these Versa models going out like that, but c'mon people. It's happened to me three times in six months and it's obviously happened to other people in this forum. I also asked if they've been sending me refurbished models as replacements and the rep said they have only sent new ones. This is a major inconvenience that one shouldn't have to go through MULTIPLE TIMES when buying a $200+ smart watch. Fitbit should be ashamed of putting this garbage out.

Mine literally just now turned off on my lunch break. Nothing will bring it to life - Not even holding all three buttons for over 3 minutes (one solution). Fingers hurt now... Guess this a hint to go get that Garmin Fenix I've been eyeing...

I asked Fitbit for help at https://help.fitbit.com/?l=en_US&cu=1&fs=ContactUs and I live chatted with someone who gave me instructions on how to fix it. Eventually, after exhausting all the steps to revive my Versa, it came down to sending me a new one. I had to send to them the broken one without the straps and the turn around time of getting a new one was almost 2 weeks. I hope this helps all of you who come here to comment "same thing happened to me!"

The same thing happened to me. I put my watch on charging at night and next day morning, the device was warm and screen was dark. I tried to restart, cleaned the back of the watch but nothing worked. It was 5 days before my warranty expires. I was busy and couldn't reached out to Customer care earlier. I reached to them 20 days after this issue. By then, my warranty expired and they didn't offer me any replacement. They did offer me 50% discount on selected products but I don't want to spend another $100-150 to get a new watch. I wish they had some service center where they could repair it. I'll have to depart from my fitbit Versa and I would no longer be using any fitbit products.

Hi...Thanks for your suggestion. It was the clock face that I had that was giving the problem. I switched back to the original and so far it hasn't gone off. But I have lost part of my today's data. Seems like the clock face developers have hidden "Trial Period".

Don't know what happened but mine started working. However, its intermittent. Dies within hours without charging. At times does not sync. I think the issue here is with its battery. I am in correspondence with Fitbit to get a replacement.

I am experiencing a similar issue to many of these posts.  My Fitbit app shows that my Fitbit Versa is charged.  However, it won't turn on.  Like others have reported, it started to lose its charge leading up to this issue.  The last time I took it off of the charger, it was hot.  I have tried to reset it but that did not work.  Does anyone else have any new suggestions?  I have tried all listed in this forum.  Thank you!

I could see that my Fitbit Versa was turned on but the screen was black.
The app could not find it. I had already had it exchanged before. I just
went and bought an Apple Watch. After about 2 months, I charged it again
and it worked. I have had many fitbits and this is the only one I had
problems with.

Hi, there. Fitbit exchanged it. Thats the only way. Although not guaranteed
that it won't happen again. I guess just keep having it changed.

I left my versa lying in my car for a week or so in a disappointment and then charged it again and miraculously it started working and hasn't gone off for the last two weeks. Fingers crossed, that it does not decide to go to sleep again.
