Fitbit Versa won't charge past 6%

Hi,

my Fitbit Versa won't charge past 6% (even when charging for several hours) and when unplugging from charger it drops to 5%.

I've tried to reset pushing all the buttons, tried different charger but the result is still the same - the device shows charging, but the battery status is still low.

On top of that the device's display started to suffer from "backlight bleeding" few weeks ago.

Can you offer some solution?

Thanks,

@SunsetRunner Have you tried cleaning the charging contacts?

Please try the below:

We recommend occasionally:

Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device to ensure they stay bronze or gold in color:

  1. Use a toothbrush with rubbing alcohol. Dry with a cloth or tissue before charging. (I use a q-tip)
  2. Make sure not to scrape the contacts with anything metal, since metal can damage the plating and cause corrosion.

Clean the pins on your charging cable:

  1. Clean the pins carefully with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol.
  2. Make sure that no pieces of the swab are left behind.

Hope this helps.

let me know if you have any questions.
