Got my Versa around 8 months ago. Working fine until today. Battery was at 43% on its last sync last night. Today at around mid day the Fitbit logo popped onto the screen and the watch promptly died after. Thinking maybe something weird had happened draining the battery I waited till I could get it on charge this evening.
After putting it on charge a red battery came up showing it’s on zero %. I left it on charge for a couple of hours. Few hours later I checked it. Still dead. Popped it out the charger and straight back in, to check the charging points were making contact. Fitbit logo came onto the screen. Told me it was fully charged. Completed a sync. Put in back on my wrist and 5 minutes later.... dead again.
Repeated the process above ... in the charger, wait for it to boot up, sync, put on wrist. Stays on for a few minutes, then dies again.
Repeated same process again and again... same result stays on for a few minutes and dies.
I tried holding the back and bottom button .... nothing. No response. Tried holding all three buttons, held them down for at least 3 minutes nothing.
Everytime I pop it back into the charger I still get a red battery with a 0%, then Fitbit logo, then it tells me it’s fully charged a few seconds later and dies around a minute after being out of the charger. Up until today I got roughly 4 days on a single charge.
Any suggestions?

So 10 months after buying my device just all of the sudden it stops working. Reached out to customer support, they say device needs to be returned and repaired under warranty. Unfortunately I never kept the receipt. I did sign a warranty register in store and I do have a bank statement to validate my purchase. But as I never retained the till receipt Fitbit South Africa refuse to assist me.
No problem. That is just the last Fitbit I will ever buy. Reading the number of complaints from people with similar problems and the complete lack of concern or interest from Fitbit South Africa I WILL NEVER BUY A FITBIT again and do not recommend Fitbit.
