Fitbit app not showing heart rate

As of a couple weeks ago, when I track walks or hikes, the Fitbit iOS app no longer shows my heart rate. I do get heart rate data on my dashboard as well as when logging in exercise. But it no longer shows up when I track exercise. What’s the deal?

@Lbrew welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it doesn't sync your heart rate when tracking your exercises.

Please restart your Versa as described in this help article. After this, make sure that your phone has the most recent Fitbit app version installed. If the app is up to date, try logging out of the app, restart your phone, open the app and log in. Finally, monitor your exercises and see if your heart rate appears on your Dashboard properly.

Keep me posted on the outcome! Smiley Happy

I’ll try resetting the watch, but it does not seem that the watch itself is the issue. It is the Fitbit app on my iPhone. When tracking my walks or hikes, it used to show my heart rate statistics, which I could review after completing my exercise. As of the past couple weeks, it shows only minutes per mile and calories burned, but not heart rate.

I’ve seen similar complaints that suggest it might be a feature that was dropped, either intentionally or not, in the last app update.
