Fitbit app showing less calories after syncing

My calorie burn when I went to sleep Saturday was 7568. Last night it was 5974. Today I went to check my totals for the week and the past two days were changed to 1865. Why would this happen and how do I correct it?

Hi there, @Koolcat35. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your calories.

As a first approach, I'd like to know if before this happened you stopped using and syncing your Versa 2 (if this occurred Saturday and Sunday, I'm referring to any day prior to Friday)? If you did and you didn't sync your Fitbit device prior those dates that would explain why you are missing data in the Fitbit app after syncing as what happened to you is an expected behavior. You should have logged in to sync the tracker before you began wearing it.

With that being said, please note we do not have any options to retrieve back the data missing. However, you may manually log your exercises if you remember the name of the activity you performed. For more information, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

Nevertheless, to avoid this from happening again and/or to solve any syncing difficulties you may be experiencing, please follow the steps below:

  • Remove your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Fitbit device, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps!
