When I try to turn on my Fitbit it says unlock with your phone. I tried to reset the pin but there was an error that always popped up stopping me from doing this. Eventually I disconnected the watch from my phone but that did nothing. When I try to reconnect it no 4 number pin pops up on my watch so I can’t reconnect it. Is there any way to factory reset my watch without going onto it?

I am having a similar problem. My mom's work friend was gifted a locked Versa 2, which she couldn't figure out, which then got passed down to my mother, telling her that the watch was her burden now because they couldn't figure it out. I initially thought that I could fix it for her by doing what everyone else did (holding the button for a hard reset), but either the "unlock with phone " or " enter the 4- digit passcode" reappears anytime I touch the screen. I have contacted FitBit's Twitter support and a bot keeps responding. I even bought a dongle to try and connect it to my computer, but no such luck. Should I sell this for parts (mom said it's not worth the trouble since she already has a watch she likes) or attempt to send it back to the company?

@Moondove if it is saying "unlock with your phone" then the only way it's going to work is if you factory reset it using the instructions in my earlier post

I told you that it isn't letting me reset it that way. It just keeps saying that it needs a 4 digit pin and I don't have the pin number, nor do I have the original account details to fix it. I need to get ahold of someone who works with Fitbit.
