Fitbit loses stats on time zone change

I recently traveled west two time zones giving my day an extra two hours. Once I hit 10pm in the new time zone, the Fitbit started removing activity info as it was collected. My day was 26 hours long but my Versa 3 refused to log anything beyond 24 hours in one day. The activity was mine regardless of the length of the day! Why is the Fitbit program taking stats away?

Hi @Peter64 - if a day starts at one time in one place it is assumed it will end 24 hours later. Your stats should be alright the  next day.

Yes, the stats were fine the next day - thanks. My point is that the Fitbit program should accept all activity input regardless of time zone movement. It should be smart enough to recognize the zone shift whether the day lengthens or shortens from the standard 24 hours.

I knew exactly what the program was doing after 10pm that day, but to lose 2000 steps and the associated data makes no sense.
