Fitbit stopped tracking heartbeat, now tracker won’t connect

In early March, 2020 Fitbit Versa Lite stopped tracking my heart beat.  Went dead for a week or so, when recharged time was not correct, tried to fix, reset Fitbit to factory settings to start over.  Now the Fitbit syncs with my iPad but the tracker won’t connect.  Went to retailer, but was told to contact Fitbit directly.  Fitbit Versa Lite was purchased as a Christmas gift in November of 2019.

I am having the exact same issues.  All of a sudden my heart rate and sleep stopped tracking.  I have reset and checked all settings on watch, app and on-line account.  Nothing seems to work.  Got this watch in Dec 2019.

Same thing just happened to me last night after update.  Heart monitor won't respond no matter what I do (restarts, cleaning, etc.).  Customer service told me nothing they can do and that I need to buy a new Versa.  Hopefully someone comes up with a fix and that this is not planned obsolescence like Apple just had to settle a lawsuit for.

Been trying to find a way to get in touch with Fitbit, I want my money back or the product replaced, only purchased in Nov. 2019. Not having any luck.
