Fitbit symbol won't turn off Versa-drains battery

The last few days my fitbit Versa won't charge well, then the fitbit symbol comes the screen.  It comes off after a few manual shutdowns for about 1 minute and then fitbit symbol comes back on. 

 

Any ideas on how to make the fitbit work again?
