Fitbit upload to Strava has become delayed and sporadic

I record my bike rides using my Fitbit Versa, and have them automatically upload to Strava. I used to be able to check Strava within maybe twenty minutes of completing my ride and forcing a Sync from the Versa to the phone, and see that the ride was already in my Strava dashboard.

However, since about Saturday night, there has been a delay going from Fitbit to Strava. My Sunday ride didn't transfer until Monday evening, along with some, but not all of my Monday activities. Also, based on the Activity ID, they were uploaded out of order.

As of now (around noon Tuesday 8 May) my last ride from Monday, and my ride this morning, are still not on Strava.

Here are the rides that are in Strava, along with their activity IDs:

155667554006-May-2018 15:52
155667545407-May-2018 9:43
155667548507-May-2018 16:32
1556909108

07-May-2018 20:21

Note that activity ID for the first one is higher than the second one, indicating that the first was uploaded to Strava later than the second, despite being from the previous day.

Also, the first three only differ in the last three digits, so they were uploaded within minutes of each other, then there was a long gap before the last one.

Here are some things that aren't the problem:

- I know that I have Strava and Fitbit connected. I can see permissions in the settings of both platforms, and the activities do, eventually, transfer over.

- Yes, I know it recorded as a ride, with a GPS track. I can see both rides that haven't made it to Strava yet are in my Fitbit dashboard, viewed from my PC, with GPS tracks showing on a map.

- No, I did not also record the ride with Strava, which I know will prevent Fitbit from uploading a duplicate activity.

Thanks in advance for help.

I’ve got the same problem today with Fitbit charge 2 & Strava although activitie was finished by 16:00 hrs I’m still waiting for it to upload to strava.

Update: I just got home from work, and it finally updated Strava. Out of order again, of course: this morning's ride, then last night's, then this afternoon's.

My runs weren't uploading to Strava either.  This happened after I updated the Strava app.  I fiddled around with the Strava app and found a new permission I had to give.  After that, my runs have been uploading to Strava as expected.  Could this be your trouble?

I don't know. It doesn't seem likely to be a setting, as they eventually make it over.

It's not like a permission should delay something from happening. It should prevent it, or allow it.

Don’t think it’s anything to do with permissions as I haven’t touched any settings and it has eventually uploaded to strava ........ 12hrs later.  Annoying but at least it’s there, much preferred it when it was more or less instant

It’s so annoying. I wonder if anyone at #Fitbit is looking into this for us

I noticed that when going to the apps on my Fitbit (through the app on my phone), strava wasn’t authorized. It was before and I don’t know when it changed. I’m wondering if this is what the issue was, but it’s still annoying it was randomly unauthorized. The other thing that I noticed that’s annoying is I keep having to change the settings to turn off auto pause when running. I’ll set it on “off”, but it’ll revert back to “on.” I did a 4 mile run, but some of it was uphill so I had to walk and it docked the distance I walked so it didn’t show a full 4 mile run.

Mine didn't upload on Monday but returned to normal behavior on Tuesday and continues to upload no problem.  Is this a phone related issue?  I'm wondering if those of you with trouble still are using iPhone?  Just a shot in the dark.  I do agree that this is an issue on the Fitbit side and probably not with Strava.

You may be correct here. Although, not as speedy as usual, my android phone is uploading to Strava. My friend has an iPhone however and it is not uploading at all.
