Fitbit versa 3 not measuring heart rate above 160

I love my Fitbit. And all the functions it has.
But.
When exercising it will not measure heart rate above 160. And I know I have a max pulse of 188. I tested side by side with an other heart monitor that sits on the chest. It seemed like when my heart rate passed 160 it started to climb downward while my actual pulse increased.

When I have a pulse between 170-190, the Fitbit shows between 90-120.

I have tried updating it and do a factory reset. Is the Fitbit not meant to or capable to measure max heart rate?

Hi @Eline__  - the inaccuracies of heart rate during exercise/ movement is a known issue if you look at the other posts in the forums and you can't fix it.

Thank you for the reply!

I was considering to turn it in to get it checked. But if it is a problem that can’t be fixed, then it would be no point in doing so.

So thanks for helpful answer:))

Unfortunately the Versa 3 with it's more "advanced" HR monitoring technology is in fact a total disaster IMO.

Is one of the other Fitbit models more accurate or generally better?

@Eline__  - have a look at the Versa 2, it is probably the most accurate heart rate wise and has some other things which work too. But it really depends on what your needs are.
