Fitbit versa band broke

The rubber part of my band broke in half the other day. I ordered a new band for it but I cannot get it on. My boyfriend and I have tried to get it on for over an hour and there's no way it will work. I talked to customer support and they told me my only option now is to send in my fitbit and new band for them to inspect. Apparently this will take many weeks. I personally cannot go weeks with out my Fitbit nor should I have to since both of these issues are fitbits fault not my own. Also I have read my reviews about other people's bands breaking in just a few months. It's discouraging to hear that because I'll probably just be in the same position again a few months from now. I think they should send me a new Fitbit and I'll send my faulty one back.

Hello @Cpomeroy and a warm welcome.  I own a number of bands, all of them from the Fitbit store.  Some go on really easily.  Some are more of a struggle.  I think there are tiny, tiny, tiny differences among bands that are band manufacturing issues.  That said, I did buy one band, a leather one, that I returned because it would not go on.  You might just need a different band.

I have an idea that might help you.  Try a local jeweler or watch repair store.  There is a watch repair tool that helps guide in these spring loaded pins.  This is something you would be doing at your own risk -- it might void any warranty if it doesn't work.

I change bands often.  Once I get a difficult one on, it's always easier with every subsequent change.  There is another reason for everyone to take a band off.  Skin debris collects under the band and it should be cleaned every now and then.

Good luck.
