Fitbit versa calorie counter underestimating

Hey everyone,

I am 100% sure that my Basal Metabolic Rate is around 1400 calories. On a day that I workout + walk 10000 steps during the day according to Fitbit (before having Fitbit the watch I was using gave me 12000 or more steps...) I only manage to achieve around 2000 calories, being that I wake up with around 400 calories burned during sleep. I believe the numbers feel low and my heart rate is being measured accurately. What can I do to change this or doesn’t it feel right?

The first thing I would check is your weight, that it is not set too low, like maybe mis-entered a decimal point.  Though I doubt that is the answer since you do have 400 cal when wake up.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
