Fitbit versa not tracking calories correctly when swimming

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

As others had indicated, I specifically upgraded my fitbit to a Versa to capture my swimming.  It is extremely low when counting calories burned.  My friend has her apple watch that we go off as my Versa is considerably different.  Very disappointed.  What are the plans to correct this?

@lhucka I would not trust your friend's Apple Watch results, as her caloric burn is tailored to her -- her weight, height, age, BMI, heart rate, etc.  What one person may burn during an activity is not what another person will burn.  Every body is different and responds to workouts differently.

Typically, the case is that calories are over-estimated by a bit on most exercises.  It's always better to err on the side of caution if you're trying to lose weight and take a lower calorie estimate.
