Fitbit versa receives all notifications except text messages

My Samsung A8 updated the Fitbit app yesterday and now I receive all my notifications except for text messages. I am super annoyed as this is the sole reason I purchased a Fitbit. Anybody have a fix?

Has anyone found a fix for this? I also purchased this product solely for the text message notification for when I am with clients and I’ve seen no fix available.

Yes I have done everything I believe.  But I'm not sure when said to show always...  no sure where to look for that.
