Fitbit versa showing pulse 40 beats higher than it actually is

After exercise session yesterday, where heart rate got to around 140, got home and put Versa on charge. Worked outside in the afternoon and heart rate got to a maximum of around 95. Went to bed around 10:30 and went to sleep straight away. Synchronised the Vera this morning and it showed the heart rate peaking overnight at around 198 and consistently going above 150 during the night whilst I was asleep. This was still happening when I checked at about 12:00 lunchtime today. I checked my pulse with two other devices that I have and they both said the heart rate was around 53 which is only slightly above my normal 50.

I have tried all the tricks on the community web site ie wearing the watch higher, Turning the Heart Monitor off then restarting the watch, resetting the watch ( not back to factory settings as yet), Recharging the watch up to 100%, Cleaning the sensors.

Even as I sit hear typing the heart rate shows 105 which is about double what it actually is ie 55 as per other devices.

If anyone can help I would appreciate some feedback.
