Fitbit versa tracks steps when I move my arm?

Hoping someone can help, I've had my Fitbit versa a week now and it's brillant I love it, but when I was sat feeding a bottle to my baby it flashed up to say I've reached my target, which I thought odd as hadn't moved! And then when I moved my arm the steps went up more! Any help on this please?

Your fitbit tracks steps by detecting movement of the fitbit (i.e. your wrist) and then deciding whether that movement was the result of a step or just random arm movement. Unfortunately, it is not a precise science and fitbits - like any wrist-worn tracker - sometimes get it wrong. Fitbit's comments on this can be found in the following help file: Help article: How accurate are Fitbit trackers?
