Fitbit versa won't charge or turn on.

I bought a fitbit versa for my daughter at the end of July 2018. It suddenly stopped working 3 weeks later however I followed a solution found in the help forum and it worked again.

Unfortunately it has happened again and this time nothing appears to work. It won't charge or turn on. The only sign of life I get is when I connect it to the charger the fitbit logo will appear but then the screen goes black.

Can you please provide a solution or advise how I can get a refund.

Thank you

You probably wont get a refund at this stage, depending on the returns policy of the store you bought it. Contact Support and see what that can do for you (link in my signature)

If you havent done so already it might be a good idwa to try a Factory Reset first, in case that fixes it.

FACTORY RESET USING BUTTONS
On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This triggers the 2-button hardware reboot after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, then continue holding the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.
- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.
- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time, or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

If the device turns on, please go back to the Fitbit app and setup your device back to your account with these steps. Make sure your watch is plugged into a wall plug or a computer, next to the router and that there are no other trackers or devices with Bluetooth on nearby when setting up.  Please log into your account, go to account on the upper right corner, there look for "setup a device" and tap on it. Follow the instructions on the screen and let the watch charge for 2 hours.

Hi,

I clicked in the "accepted solution" link in error. This DID NOT resolve my problem. Like many others, I ended up having to have a replacement device sent to me as nothing at all worked.

There is clearly a bad batch of these out there which isn't great.

Anyway, I've only recently received the replacement so hopefully this one will last longer than 2 months!!

My Versa was also purchased around the same time. It's done the same but won't even light up on the charger now. I did the factory reset but it did not work. With the other complaints, it's sounding more like a bad batch of them. Guess it's time to file a warranty complaint.

How are you supposed to do a reset when it won't charge or turn on?
